Obispo ordinario: En la Iglesia católica y anglicana es semejante de obispo diocesano, eso es, aquel obispo al que compete en la diócesis que se le ha confiado toda la potestad ordinaria, propia e inmediata que se requiere para el ejercicio de su función pastoral, exceptuadas aquellas causas que por el derecho o por decreto del papa se reserven a la autoridad suprema o a otra autoridad eclesiástica.

Los obispos anglicanos y episcopales son comienzo de sus respectivas diócesis y se organizan en iglesias nacionales bajo la presidencia (como primum inter pares) de individualidad de ellos, quien ostenta el título de arzobispo, obispo primado u obispo presidente, y todas las Iglesias nacionales que pertenecen a la Comunión anglicana, se reúnen en el Consejo Anglicano, presidido honoríficamente por el arzobispo de Canterbury, inicio de la Iglesia de Inglaterra.

Another area to explore is “How does he prepare for his sermons?” It might surprise many, but there are some pastors who do not like to study and prepare for a Sunday message. It is common for many pastors to spend the bulk of their week in organizational and people related activities and give only a small portion of their week to study and sermon preparation.

The first step of church discipline requires that those who witnessed the sin seek to restore the one who sinned. Galatians 6:1 gives us some guidelines for the initial step.

Many church leaders and Call Committees fail at the very beginning of the search process – the first meeting. The failure occurs when they first decide what type of pastor they want.

Worse yet, there are churches who do not know what to look for and so may depend upon surveys and Christian consulting firms to aid their decision. Eventually they hire him and months or several years later, he leaves the ministry. Church members may have been critical of him in the final year or months and now they are glad he is gone. He is called a failure. Why do situations like this happen?
